The Crisis of Credit Visualized

The Crisis of Credit Visualized from Jonathan Jarvis on Vimeo.

Interesting but also depressing given my condo in LA is probably close to $100k under what I bought it for. What to do what to do?

Ryan Leslie Makes "Addiction"

If you liked this composition, definitely check out this Theresa Andersson performance.

COVER: Rocket Man Acoustic

Beautiful song with a sad and touching meaning that misses most (certainly me) the first time they hear it.

Death Cab For Cutie - No Sunlight (Acoustic)

Nice set from Death Cab for Cutie.

Winter Fun

That's some impressive snowman (and woman - I think...) making....

AVATAR Interview: Sam Worthington & James Cameron

I just saw the movie in 3D and am happy to report that the hype is well-deserved: Avatar is 100% AWESOME. For the record, Sigourney Weaver is WAYYYYY hotter as a Navi Avatar.

James Cameron reaffirms his position as a bad ass director with a knack for creating the most imaginative and absorbing worlds that you've never before dreamed. To apply the description of "visual effects" to what he does in this movie is like calling a symphony "sound". Go see it for yourself (trailer).

Earl Scruggs & Steve Martin - Foggy Mountain Breakdown

That is some insane banjo'ing!

And who knew Steve Martin was such a kick ass banjo'er?

Timothy Ferris on The 4 Hour Workweek

LeWeb took place in the early part of December and by early indications it was a huge success and on it's way to becoming the premier tech event in Europe. Some very big names in technology and online were there, but some of the biggest buzz was around the announcement of Queen Rania Al Abdullah as one of the Keynote speakers.

One of the attendees was Timothy Ferris, author of The 4 Hour I've been wanting to read The 4-Hour Workweekfor a while now, and thought this was a nice quick summary.

My Favorite Christmas Movies Ever

Bireli Lagrene - Cherokee

This is the only thing preventing me from tying my monitor, mouse and keyboard chords together to make a noose and hang myself from having to work on a Sunday. Hope you enjoy and that whatever you're doing, you're not working on a Sunday.

In case you're like me and had never heard of Bireli Lagrene, here's a little bio on him: He's a French guitarist and bassist specializing in swing, jazz fusion and post bop mediums.  He's played since he was four, performed with many international jazz superstars and has +25 albums to show for it.

Checking out Amazon Associates

Just heard that Blogger has integrated Amazon Associates and I'm trying to test it out.

It is good timing I suppose with X'mas around the corner. Here's my wish list:

LECTURE: Eric Schmidt at the Michael Hammer Memoriall

I'm all about alter egos.

Dark Meat Tiny Desk Concert at NPR Music

Star Wars Gangsta Rap

I'm Yoda, I'm a solja, I'm low to the floja, I thought I told ya!

That's a mighty good gin and tonic, why don't you mix me up another?
