What Microsoft/Yahoo Deal Means
Will be interesting to get back from vacation and see what things are like....
And I don't usually listen to FOX (though I do watch more of it in Hong Kong curiously), but I found this interview on the deal to be "fair and balanced" and understandable for layman.
LETTERMAN: Regina Spektor performing Laughing With
I first got into Regina Spektor after hearing her duet with Sondre Lerche in the soundtrack for Dan In Real Life (check it out if you haven't seen it). This is a much more somber but equally addictive song. Enjoy!

Ethics of Eating Fish: Mark Bittman Interview
I've seen a lot more of Mark Bittman on TV since coming to Hong Kong and watching LOTS of Asian Food Channel. I thought he was annoying at first (and you may also) but am coming to respect him as a a talented journalist and food expert, as he is internationally known. I thought this was a good clip where he discusses some of his ethical views on the seafood he does and does NOT eat.

I just happened across this - pretty good stuff. Wanda Sykes' cameo as the Oracle and Will Ferrell as The Architect are the best performances.

BLOOMBERG: Lizzie O'Leary on How to Tell a Story with Numbers
I found this to be a very interesting clip where Lizzie O'Leary explains how she tells a story with numbers. Definitely useful for aspiring reporters, but it's certainly applicable to only one that works with data (sorry for sound cut-off in last few seconds).
Here's her advise in a nut-shell:
1.) Find a face that can be associated with the data
2.) Examine how that person's story can be applied/viewed on a much larger and/or Global scale.
3.) Look into other trends/behavior tied to the original data set you started with.
I like her quote at 2:10, that "economics, and telling stories about economics, is a collection of little data points of human behavior."
