Inception Featurettes
Planning on seeing it this weekend on IMAX and couldn't be more excited. I hope this marks a new partnership between Nolan and DiCaprio as I love both their work.

Very interesting talk by Jane McGonigal on why gaming may be a crucial element influencing the progress of humanity in a positive way. McGonigal makes some insightful observations on gamers and the social dynamics that exist around gaming.

Sam Harris: Science Can Answer Moral Questions
I thought this was a great talk by philosopher Sam Harris, where he raises some very basic points about the relationship between religion, science and humanity. I especially like the simple yet respectful way that he calls out facts that we all know as humans that think and feel, but often times get glossed over out of cultural/religion respect and not wanting to step on any toes. The take-away for me is that as a people for us to truly elevate our discourse about anything is to admit that there are certain black/white truths about what is generally good and bad.

Sam Worthington really needs a break; seems he can't get in any big blockbuster movies lately. Except for this one. oh and Terminator Salvation. Oh and some weird animated movie I forget the name of...

TRAILER: Repo-Men
Writers Eric Garcia and Garrett Lerner team with director Miguel Sapochnik to adapt Garcia's novel about a repo man named Remy whose body has been constructed almost entirely of artificial organs. When Remy (Jude Law) fails to keep up on payments for his recent heart transplant, his former partner vows to take back the organ by force if necessary. Meanwhile, Remy finds an unexpected ally in the form of his long-lost wife, Beth (Sonia Braga), who has also been retrofitted with numerous artificial organs. Now, despite the fact that they haven't seen each other since Remy joined the army ten years ago, the desperate repo man and his sympathetic wife attempt a daring escape from a man who holds the lives of millions in the palm of his hands. Forest Whitaker and Liev Schreiber co-star.

Caroline Smith Duo - She Ain't Got It LIVE
What a unique voice - reminds me a bit of Imogen Heap. I dig the cello action - I think that's a cello and not a viola right?

Google CEO: Tech Doesn't Rot Your Brain
I love to watch Eric Schmidt speak because he's always very elegant and logical in the way he speaks. This is an interesting clip and I agree with him that there is an innate talent that one loses if they're not used to reading a physical books for an extended period of time (30 mins +). In today's world of get it fast, quick and easy, I can see how young people may be failing to develop skill in, what he refers to as, "deep reading".

comScore: Bell Tolls for Tradional Media Online
Pretty interesting video interview by Thomas Crampton with Magid Abraham of comScore who predicts that even tougher times lie ahead for traditional online media. He makes an interesting connection between the inventory, engagement, time spent online, and balance between portals (Yahoo!, MSN etc.) and destination properties (Facebook, YouTube).

AVATAR Interview: Sam Worthington & James Cameron
I just saw the movie in 3D and am happy to report that the hype is well-deserved: Avatar is 100% AWESOME. For the record, Sigourney Weaver is WAYYYYY hotter as a Navi Avatar.
James Cameron reaffirms his position as a bad ass director with a knack for creating the most imaginative and absorbing worlds that you've never before dreamed. To apply the description of "visual effects" to what he does in this movie is like calling a symphony "sound". Go see it for yourself (trailer).
